I was fighting trying to change Omarchy to use CTRL+C and CTRL+V instead SUPER+C and SUPER+V, but since I also do some workarounds in iOS for something similar with my external keyboard, I figured it out it was easier to remap the keyboard keys and change it’s keycaps to switch the places for the SUPER and CTRL, so I don’t have to relearn which key I press. Let’s see if this does solves more problems than it creates (like my previous solution).
While I was writing the last sentence I wanted to create a new browser tab, or close an old one, and since now I’m using the SUPER it had a different behavior, so I needed to do some shortcut chantes:
- SUPER+T = CTRL+T
- SUPER+SHIFT+T= toggle window floating/tile
- SUPER+W = CTRL+W so I can close browser tabs
- SUPER+Q = close window, same as macOS so this should be a win
The beauty of Omarchy is that it easily enables you to personalizes this keyboard shortcuts using an AI Agent in a very easy way.
