After writing about the first Homebrew Website Club Curitiba meeting, my goal was to publish one post per event. But after six more events, I decided to write a single post covering all of them so I’d have a record of what happened.

Meeting 2: Nov 22, 2025 9:00am

I can’t remember exactly what I was doing, but I was probably writing a post. We also had fun taking pictures, including one where we were trying for a more informal, conversational vibe.

Venue: Temporal Cafés Especiais

Meeting 3: Nov 22, 2025 9:00am

We tried a new coffee shop and held the event an hour earlier. We realized it was too early, even for us, so next time we’re going back to a 10 a.m. start.

I started working on my now page, but I ran into some issues with my website and couldn’t finish it.

Venue: Casa Luce – Cafeteria e Design de Interiores em Curitiba

Meeting 4: Dec 13, 2025 10:00am

I finished my /now page and submitted it to Derek Sivers for inclusion on NowNowNow. It was my first time doing this, so I wasn’t sure how the process would work. It took longer than I expected, but it wasn’t difficult. One part I especially enjoyed was writing him an email, where I mentioned that I was doing this during the event and that I’m a fan of his writing.

It was also nice to show some attendees a few things WordPress can do that they hadn’t known about.

Meeting 5: Jan 24, 2026 2:00pm

I discovered the Hardcover app to track my reading progress, updated my /now page to show the previous version as well.

We moved the event to the afternoon so people who were interested but already had commitments on Saturday morning could still attend. In the end, they didn’t come.

Meeting 6: Feb 21, 2026 2:00pm

While I was on my way to the event, I saw a LinkedIn post from Derek Hanson saying Telex can now generate themes, so I was excited to try it out. I started working on a new cyberpunk theme for my blog, spread the word, and everyone gave it a try. We all had a lot of fun!

Meeting 7: Mar 7, 2026 10:00am

I continued the process of creating a new theme for my blog with Telex, mainly to fix some bugs. While I waited for the AI, I started writing this post.

Since we didn’t see much difference in attendance when the event was held in the afternoon, we went back to holding it in the morning so we can enjoy our Saturday afternoon with other activities.

This time, we decided to try another coffee shop: Go Coffee Botânica. They have a great caramel frappé, and I also tried a delicious brigadeiro frappé (a classic Brazilian sweet made with condensed milk, cocoa powder, butter, and usually covered in chocolate sprinkles).

Our next meeting is already scheduled for April 18!
