Since the podcast episode from July 2026 I started taking a screenshot of me and Fellyph Cintra looking at the camera to use them as cover images for the episodes, so I didn’t have to hunt down a good video frame of the recording. In the August episode I left my mouse cursor over my picture and it was showing two interface icons in front of it. I almost went back to watching the recording to find a frame to take a screenshot, because editing seemed too much work, then I realized I could try to use AI to remove it.
I opened ChatGPT Desktop, uploaded the image and asked there are two icons in front of my face. can you edit the image and remove them? and voilà, the icons were gone.
When I compared both of the pictures side by side, it’s interesting to see that ChatGPT also did a lighting adjustment in the photo, making it brighter.
I still catch myself “thinking about doing boring things the old way” instead of checking if AI can solve it. I’m wondering, what else am I doing “the old way”?
